I wanted to do a post about this awesome project that started in São Paulo. Its art like this that really sends chills up my spine. The street art that is made with the purpose of improving daily life, turning something boring or ugly into something beautiful to bring out a smile. Go to 6emeia.com to read up on it more. It really is a beautiful thing.

The 6emeia project was created and developed by the artists Anderson Augusto, also known as SÃO, and Leonardo Delafuente, also known as Delafuente. The duo live in the Barra Funda neighborhood of São Paulo where they began the project with the purpose of changing and transforming daily life.

So I heard about this show 2 weeks ago, and thought I was to late to get a poster into it. But some piece of me said, Austin just throw some emails out there and see what happens. So I did and now I am totally in the show, mostly cause Joshua Wills is an awesome dude for letting me in late. Its a bummer I was not quick enough to get on all the advertisements for it, but whatever its my first show. Hope to see you there.

Four of my absolute favorite artists, doing what they do best. Upper Playground artists Alex Pardee, Jeremy Fish, Sam Flores, and David Choe painting a cube, so fucking awesome, wish I could have been there to see it. If you have not seen their art yet, look them up. I hope to someday be as good as these guys.

08ama CHANGE

Well we did it people. But this is only the beginning. Lets see how Obama deals with his promise of change. I feel like he and we have a lot of cleaning to do, to this country. The last 8 years really fucked it up. I almost feel like we are getting rid of a dictator, with the way Bush fucked all of us. Fuck the patriot act, fuck the war and fuck anything like it. It is true, Its time for CHANGE in this country, and I will do my part to help out wherever I can. All I want is a government that tells the truth, and I don't feel bad for asking for it. I want to thank the Hope Manifest Show and everyone that was a part of it, during the DNC here is Denver. It really inspired me to see artists like myself, taking part in politics. The image above was done by Shepard Fairy, and was easily my favorite. The picture was taken by JoyEngine. I will be getting a camera very soon, thanks to Evan, so I can post my own pictures.

Birthday That Hit Hard

My birthday was awesome, and it was not because I got super drunk or because I turned 26. It was because of the people that mean the most to me, the ones I don't ever want to lose. A big portion of my life has been dedicated to finding ones to share my life with, people that mean the world to me, and I really do believe I have some of the greatest friends and girlfriend a guy could ask for. I really don't know what to say about the gift I received. It hit me where it counts, my heart. I want to thank everyone for an awesome evening, and special thanks to Brian, Nick, my Sis, and Sandi for the train cars they made me. I really want to thank Kristy and Alex with that organ that gives me life, my heart, that I would give to either of you, at a moments notice. This birthday meant so much to me, I can't thank you two enough. Below are some pictures of my present, a present I will hold on to as long as I can.
